Le paysage nous appartient
Nous sommes face à un objet hybride, sorte de vélo tentaculaire qui devient paysage quand on l’active. Plus le visiteur pédale, plus l’intensité lumineuse est forte. Irruptions d’un soleil éclaté, les reflets se diffusent sur les murs autour de nous, selon notre propre cadence. Nous contemplons un paysage fictif qui est animé par nos propres mouvements. Mais, malgré l’activité de notre corps, le voyage se déroule en toute immobilité. On pense alors aux lanternes magiques et au début du cinéma… Cette œuvre, qui est la réinterprétation d’une œuvre créée par l’artiste en 2006, nous invite à considérer notre usage des énergies et notre capacité à les transformer en une autre forme.

The landscape belongs to us
We are facing a hybrid object, a sort of sprawling bicycle that becomes a landscape when activated. The more the visitor pedals, the stronger the light intensity. Irruptions of a burst sun, the reflections are diffused on the walls around us, according to our own rhythm. We contemplate a fictional landscape that is animated by our own movements. But, despite the activity of our bodies, the journey takes place in total immobility. We think of magic lanterns and the beginning of cinema… This work, which is a reinterpretation of a work created by the artist in 2006, invites us to consider our use of energies and our ability to transform them into another form.
