Molybdomancie est une série en cours, dont l’origine est tirée d’une pratique de divination qui est encore d’usage en Suisse allemande où l’on interprète les formes que prend le plomb fondu et les crépitements lorsqu’il est versé dans l’eau.
Inspirée de cette technique, j’ai voulu inventorier les différents métaux et observer leurs formes, leurs réactions en les faisant fondre puis en les renversant dans l’eau en suivant le même protocole.
Chaque métal traduit l’empreinte de l’eau sur le métal et nous révèle le métal dans son aspect natif, les formes obtenues peuvent être très denses ou aérées, nous évoquer un minéral ou encore un végétal et questionne ainsi le règne de la matière.
A partir d’un protocole précis, l’art divinatoire devient le sujet d’une étude quasi scientifique.
